A closer view of beautiful Steve Falls,
framed by graceful boughs of Western hemlock, red alder and sheer,
moss-covered cliffs. The amphitheater that surrounds Steve Falls
would make further passage upstream very difficult. Yet Drawson
somehow explored past this waterfall, too, commenting that "the
stream bed levels off" above this waterfall. Our group marveled
at the stamina and curiosity that Drawson must have possessed
to make these discoveries thirty years earlier! |
