Century Logs
The Cast Creek canyon is littered with century-old fallen timber from an early 1900s forest fire. This massive log is typical, with a circumference of nearly six feet and still largely preserved after more than one hundred years of exposure to the elements. Greg and Jon cross a well-worn spot that suggests other visitors followed this portion of the route since our first trip in 2004.
