Two more view of Apparition Falls, taken by Ted. The first (left) shows Matthew shooting video with the OPB equipment, and the second is a fine image that Ted captured by working his way a bit further into the amphitheater that holds the falls. From above, we could see the cedar boughs waving in the "fossvind" created by the falls, and the cool spray washing over our perch was welcome on this unseasonably warm day.
After capturing these images, the group quickly retraced our steep traverse above the "Little Gorge" in a race with daylight. Matthew and Greg split off at "Disappointment Ridge" to retrieve the camera pack, which had fallen directly into the stream a few feet above "Disappointment Falls". Their adventure involved Matthew completing a free-rappel from the cliffs and then a return along the stream to our rendezvous point downstream.
