As we journeyed deeper into the wilds of Glacier Bay, the peaks of the Fairweather Range towered above the inlets and fjords, like this scene at Scidmore Bay (above). The clear weather provided the rarest of views - ghostly Fairweather Peak (below) rising more than 15,000 feet above Glacier Bay, and dwarfing the lesser peaks that rise up around this massive mountain.
