March 1983 Expedition

The 1983 expedition reached
      Split Falls using 15 minute USGS maps that provided only a general
      idea of where to depart the Salmon River trail and descend into
      the canyon. We left the trail at this point, shortly after passing
      Goat Creek and a second tributary canyon.
