Jackie Falls Downpour
The flow at Jackie Falls lived up to our expectations, creating a magical scene. But shooting the falls was miserable on this day of blinding lightning, cracking thunder and steady downpours! The scene below was the best I could salvage on this photo trek, despite a "raincoat" on my camera. Greg suffered similarly in his efforts, before we decided to move up the cliff to the view of Steve Falls, just upstream.
As mute testimony to the blustery downpour, the "raincoat" over my camera slips into this image. I would later discover that the "raincoat" was actually doing more harm than good in keeping the camera dry...
