At last, the first of Maynard Drawson's
waterfalls comes into full view. He named this cascade after
his hiking companion, Jerry Morey. The final approach involved
scaling a 20-foot wall of decaying log debris that Drawson noted
in his description:
"The
first falls, Jerry Falls, is the highest at 79 feet.... it is
not a sheer drop, but splashes over a convex cliff. Passage to
the base off the cliff is difficult, due to jumbled loggs and
debris below the plunging waters."
