The trail
crosses scree slopes in a number of locations. These areas provide
a unique contrast to the green, fern-lined gorge below. Among
the rocks of the scree slope, you can find sun-loving stonecrop,
a native succulent related to the garden sedums that are grown
in backyard rock gardens. |
