Other must-see parks in the area are spectacular Heceta Head to the north and the Honeyman Memorial park to the south. Heceta Head has historic tours of the lighthouse and grounds, picnicking, beach access and miles of hiking trails. Honeyman is a sprawling park of sand dunes, lakes and wide beaches that has camping, picnicking, swimming and hiking opportunities. Both are located within a few miles of the Darlingtonia preserve.
