As the ship curved toward the terminus of the North Sawyer Glacier, the scale of the scene became apparent. The wide panorama (above) combines three images, encompassing a 180 degree view of rock and ice. The detailed panorama (below) combines six images, and spans nearly 300 degrees to encompass the full scope of the North Sawyer terminus, with the glacier towering 300 feet above the fjord, and spanning nearly a mile. Note the large waterfall dropping into the fjord to the immediate right of the glacier.
